Contractors Expectations and Actual Rates

With permanent headcount being a precious commodity there is strong demand across the market for skilled technical contractors to address short-term project requirements at present. Development and Engineering skills are required across the .Net and Java environments and the PMO space is strong at present. Rates are back about 10% on last year but holding steady and expected to rise through 2010. Large enterprise-wide implemntation projects are rare but we are seeing plenty of mid size projects at planning or implementation stage.
